Make your life easier less expensive by going green - here are some suggestions...
1. FreeCycle it.
Kind of like eBay but where no money changes hands. You list stuff you don't want and then scores of people email you asking when it would be a good time to collect it. You browse for stuff you'd like, then see it listed for free. How good is that?

It might take a bit of getting used to, but you'll be hooked once you use it. Completely free service to lose your junk, help save the planet and save you money. There's got to be a catch, right? Well, we're still looking for one...
2. Mobile Phones, Toner Cartridges, Foreign Currency
Or drop off you unwanted phone or currency at your local Help the Aged shop.
Another option for cartridges is The reCycling Factory - a German company with a UK operation run from Lincolnshire.

3. Buy groceries online
Controversial one this - but think about it. If you are forever shopping at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys & Tescos with your car and the kids - why not avoid all this hassle by doing it online and having the goods brought to your door. If everyone did that it would take millions of cars off the roads and bring an end to out-of-town mega-supermarkets. They may even have to start closing them down or turning them into despatch hubs for online orders.
When you consider that half of the space taken by these out of town places is for the enormous car park (where you spend 20 minutes finding a spot) this has got to be a good thing.
OK, so when you DO go out to shop - we encourage you to walk to your local grocer with an empty backpack for all your shopping - more excercise, less pain, better for the local traders too and you don't need their plastic bags.
