If your customers can’t find your website, you may as well not have one.

So, of course, it makes sense to get your website ranking highly on Google, and the process of getting your site high on Google is called ‘Search Engine Optimisation’ (or SEO for short).

Google owes its incredible success to its consistent ability to put the most useful, relevant websites at the top of the pile.

Content is the main thing. If you are the type of person who like to write, you are at an advantage – all you have to do is write about your products and services and put it on your website.

If you keep that up long enough, you’ll end up with a large website packed with useful, relevant content about your products and services.

And even if you don’t have a fancy site and have not attempted any SEO tips and tricks, you will have a useful and relevant site, which means that Google will like it. It will like it a lot.

Google likes content-rich, relevant, useful websites (of course it does) and, generally speaking, it will rank your site higher if your website is more useful and relevant for your customers than the next guy’s site.
